Dr. Marios Agathangelou was born in Nicosia in 1979 and grew up in Paphos. He has been practicing Interventional Radiology in Cyprus since 2016.
As an Interventional Radiologist, he has a particular interest and expertise in percutaneous interventional vascular procedures, such as angioplasty and stenting for peripheral arterial disease. In addition, he has been trained in the techniques of uterine fibroid embolization, varicocele embolization, and chemoembolization for liver cancer. Furthermore, he specializes in the most advanced and minimally invasive techniques for treating varicose veins.
It is also worth noting that he specializes in the transdermal thermal ablation of thyroid nodules using radiofrequency (RF), a technique that offers significant advantages for patients.
Education
At the same time, he has specialized in Interventional Radiology at the N.N.A. (Athens Naval Hospital) and holds the corresponding specialty certification. Furthermore, he is a graduate of the School of Medicine at Democritus University of Thrace.
